Went to the jeweler and got the temporary canvas watch band replaced with a nice metal band.  I asked if I could have a few links taken off my stainless steel bracelet I have Keito's heart.  I was told that a jeweler would have to do it.

hmmm... I went home, got two pair of pliers, carefully removed the T-bar, then applied opposing force on three links, one at a time, opening them. I removed them and then replaced the T-bar.

Does this mean I'm a jeweler now? :D

When I got my bracelet back, since Tam not only replaced the missing garnet, he polished it up to 'new' appearance, it made all my other 'crown jewels' look a bit grungy.

3 cups of boiling water, 1 cup of baking soda, one sheet of aluminum foil, one shallow pan. Put sheet of foil in pan, place all pieces of jewelry on it, boil the water, dissolve baking soda into the water, pour over jewelry. Let sit for a few minutes or until the water is cool (depending on how tarnished said pieces of jewelry are) rinse, wipe dry and your bling is a BLING as it was when you first got it.

Tomorrow, thursday, I need to make more time than I have. Must get Alan to his dentist appointment by 9:45, and get home in time to get ready for lunch performance. I am going to bring him in at9:30 and explain the situation. Then I will have to come back to settle the bill after the performance.

Then, I have to de-spackle, and get ready for thursday night class. *pant pant pant*

Made two more nose/ear chains. Put the sparklies [livejournal.com profile] aikidomayland brought back from Africa. Not too sure how heavy one of them will be once on the silver hoop, but I will trial it tomorrow. If it is too heavy,I will just duck out for a bit, and remove the chain part, but keep the silver hoop in the nose. Or, bring a hatpin or florist pin and attach it to the turban to take the weight off the nose piercing. Either way it will work.

I decided to get crafty and just make my own nose-to-ear chain tribal decoration. I have about 6 nath but they are just too darned heavy! So, I made something else instead. Not difficult, but finding the right things to put on it was a royal pain.  I have always had a knack for making one thing from something else. :) Now, my eyes hurt, and I have a "godammit focus your eyes up close on small objects" headache. However, Iwill consider it a side effect of creativity.
