I had taken the hamburger/beef mince out of the freezer early this morning. I wanted to start making my 3 burner Chili for dinner. I went out at 1pm, thinking the hamburger would be defrosted. *sigh* Nope, you can hammer nails into a wall with it. So, I guess it's not just me being cold, and that it's actually cold in the house.

So, have to decide what will be on the dinner menu tonight, as I don't like using microwave to defrost hamburger.

Just back home from dinner out with Jean-Paul and Angela. (Massive hat tip to Ju for suggesting/recommending "The Cavern". Great server, great noshing!)

Was wonderful to catch up with JP. Angela is always good company. After 'zert', I asked to be excuse to visit "The To Whom It May Concern Room", only to have sneaked off to pay the bill. :) JP was in our back yard, so he felt more 'guesty' than dutch. :D

Been a long day, compliments of Loki pouncing on me before sun up. *sigh* Time to brush, floss and head off to sneepyrand.

I really must make pumpkin pie more often. *chuckle*

Went to mynxii and kae_dash's house for dinner last night. japester and Sarah were there too. I brought the above mentioned desert. Kae-dash made a marvelous spaghetti dinner, and all was vacuumed up by the ravening hoard of 6. Nice bottle of wine. :)

After we had digested a while, I started serving up pie. There was cream, so I made some vanilla whipped cream to go on top. Oh yum. I have converted another Aussie on the alternate uses of pumpkin. Hehe (it was good, mynxii, wasn't it?)

Was a great night of jumbled conversations, and hilarity. :) A good time was had by all. (nice archery gear, Japester, very nice, and congrats on the win)

Got home just shortly before 11pm and was feline-ously assaulted by meows of "You LEFT me" from both cats. How dare us come home smelling of dogs and a strange *girl* cat! Rub buff buff, remarked as Keito and Loki's humans in under five minutes. Took longer to placate them. heh

Someone saw the picture of my calendars, and asked for one, the "Cats" calendar. Ordered that right up, should have it in about 10 days.

P/T yesterday was a lesson in why I shouldn't do certain things. Lesson learned (for now).

Tried to get s a bit of rest before our dinner out with delicious irony, but that wasn't meant to happen. And walking to the restaurant (9 Marys', very nice) was a bit ummm uncomfortable. But I did manage to stay mostly awake for the evening. delicious irony had some very nice antique shinies to show us. Oooo pretty! We had fun double-teaming aikidomayland with puns (I would LOVE some lentils, Dahl-ling!") Afterward, I was whipped. Even the short walk back to the car felt like a slow-mo marathon to me.

I decided to make the minestrone. *inhales deeply* Oh that smells so good. Alan, my 18yr old son aka Official Taste Tester has given it two thumbs up. My only problem when I make soup is it seems I can only make a large stock pot of soups/stews. At least I know minestrone freezes nicely.

Found out I am allergic to Panadiene. I thought the rash I had gotten at the hospital was because of the soaps and detergents on the sheets and for the shower.

Yeah, I know, but it's as good a subject as any.

Kidnapped [livejournal.com profile] akire_yta and forced her to eat yummy curries at 9 Marys in Perth. And we got away with this heinous deed. Of course she didn't really struggle too much. She is always good company. Also love her reason for getting her doctorate. To solve the dilemma of "Miss, Ms, and Mrs". I asked her if I have to her Dr. Aki. I don't.

Got woken up at 2 Cat O'clock, aka 5am on a Sunday. I think it was Keitos' way of punishing me for leaving him alone during the storm last night.

Goofed the first DVD recording program. Button on the remote are a bit tricky. Got the 2nd one though. Go me.

Yesterdays dance class was wonderful. Working on finetuning what they had been shown the past 3 weeks, and added one more in one new fast and slow move for them. T'was good.

And that is the weekend update.

[livejournal.com profile] aikidomayland took me out to dinner. After a few misses, he decided to take us to Tsunami. Excellent restaurant. It's nice to pop in where you know the proprietor. He greeted us warmly, and we got a lovely seat near the jazz musicians. I am still singing some of the songs.

Their sashimi is 2nd to none, and goes nicely with hot saki.  Purrrrrr.

Have to get up early tomorrow. Must get some shopping done for his trip to Botswana.
