I have been seeing these ads about DVDs. They come with the DVD movie, and two other formats for you to use on different media players. This is announced like it's some big favor.

What the hell do they think I (and millions of others) have been doing with their DVDs already?

Leave it to GOP Pundits to put a spin on anything Obama says. The "lipstick on a pig" has nothing to do personally with Palin. It's about the entire McCain presidential campaign. My equivalent is "You can put frosting on dog poo, but that won't make it a birthday cake."

Who else is sick of reading/hearing of anything that even remotely is labeled a scandal by the media has the word GATE tacked onto the end of it?

Anyone.... anyone?

Hypocritical media talking heads, ripping Anna Nicole Smith to ribbons. Where was their sage advice when it could have done good? Oh that's right, their advice is of the hindsight variety.

They didn't let her live in peace, now they won't let her rest in peace.

Poured into a gold swimsuit, Make Me A Supermodel winner Jen Hunter looks as if this outfit was custom-made for her.

In any 3rd world country, if anyone looked like the girl on the right, she would be called malnourished and starved (because she is.) She looks miserable too. Maybe she would look and feel better if she had a sammich.

Thanks akire-yta for the link.

I just got through reading a few articles about famine stricken areas. You see the faces of the women and children, skeletal and wide eyed because of it. And then go check what the media calls beautiful/desirable/sexy/attractive (whatever term you want) and they look the same.  Women are killing themselves with anorexia and/or bulemia (or at the very least making themselves dangerously ill) to emulate the looks of famine affected people. Hullo?  What's wrong with this picture?

Women have got to tell the media to get stuffed with their peddling these horrific images as icons of beauty. Men should too, as I have seen too many examples of emaciated male models being foisted on the public by the media as 'sexy'. Sorry, but jutting cheekbones, countable rings of cartilege on the throat, and protruding bones are not sexy. Makes me want to adopt them and feed them.
