Sunday In Northbridge
Feb. 6th, 2011 06:14 pmAikidomayland and I went to Northbridge to catch the Lion Dancers. We got there early enough to meet and chat up some Flickr members (Photographers in Perth group). While taking photos of some lovely festival dancers, the 'event organiser' decided to give us some grief about us not having the right to shoot photographs.
Oh it was so amazing when she was educated by all of us, in a round robin, tag time style that we were well within our rights to not only to take photos (public place, public event etc) that as long as we weren't using them for promotional advertisements, that we can sell them if we so choose to. Love the 'I am a goldfish on land' look she gave us.
Here is one of the photos I took. This young lady is an inspiration. She is 35 yrs old. That isn't the amazing thing. She is 35 and has the worst variety of Cystic Fibrosis. There is something in her genetic make up that allows her body to cope with the CF with only minimal problems. And she is so effervescent and loves life.

Busy long holiday weekend
Jan. 27th, 2009 06:49 pmHappy Chinese New Year! It's the year of the Ox. Luck to those born that year. Had a pleasant evening with Delicious Irony, Discordia13 and Bunny-M . Yes, Bunny, you were ill, but you company was still appreciated and enjoyed.

Feb. 19th, 2007 08:40 amWent to Burswood for our congratulations/aw damn yer moving dinner with Chris and Kira. During which, not only did I see some good friends, we also got to see some Chinese dragons and drums announcing the Chinese New Year (year of the pig)
