It's a waste of their time

I don't know why certain sites (SciFi.com and Showtime) block surfers outside of the US. It's galling that I was a member of their boards before I moved to Australia, and now I a get the "Sorry, American Visitors only!" or "Video not available for your location".

Anyway, blocking non-US surfers is a waste of their time, as a good proxy program/server bypasses their border patrol. Can't wait to see next weeks Dexter. "An Inconvenient Lie". :)

Aparrently it's so that people in other countries won;t be exposed to material their government deems 'inappropriate'.
