Contacts vs Glasses
Oct. 13th, 2007 01:32 pmI prefer to wear my contacts.... however, they don't allow me to have clear up close to arms reach vision (I have to lean waaaaay back to even read this when I am wearing my contacts). So, I got myself a pair of those magnifying eyeglasses to wear (1x magnification), small enough that they pretty much perch on the halfway down my nose, so I can look over them for distance viewing. They will be useful for reading, photo/graphics work, and other up close tasks.
Since I got contacts so I wouldn't have to remember to lug glasses around, I will in all probability get the 'odd duck' contacts next time. One lens for up close to be worn at the same time the other eye uses a distance lens. Might take time to get used to, but I am adaptable.
