On the road again
Oct. 12th, 2007 06:41 pmMore like on the bike path. Took E-scooter out again today. Went to Garden City in Boragoon. It's mostly because I have to get it through my head that 'Yes, this scooter can and will take me back and forth without a problem'. UnSon, Robin, and I took turns leading so I would get familiar with the way. The only part that scares/worries me is Riesley Street/Leach Highway intersection. Drivers are insane.
I noticed the scooter was a bit slow on take off, so when I got home I checked tire pressure when I got home. It was low so I topped up the back tire. Recharging the battery. I know the specs claim 50 kilometers distance, but that is in optimum conditions; totally flat ground, 65 kilo rider, no wind resistance. Since I have hills and rises, and I am a tad heavier than 65 kilos, and the "Fremantle Doctor" is a constant visitor, I tend to recharge after 25 to 35 kilometers instead.
