Ouch, Compliments of Loki
Apr. 4th, 2008 05:24 pmAt 5 am this morning Loki decided to leap onto the bed, claws fully extended... and miss. His solution, dig claws into what ever was handy (or in this case footy? pad pun)
I now have 4 deep yet narrow gouges in the bottom of my foot. I don't mean scratches, I mean gouges. Two on the big toe, two just below it on the ball of the foot, and a shallow scratch. Yup, all 5 claws accounted for.
I don't think he quite used up another of his 9 lives.... but I was considering it.

I think I was 13 or 14. Never did get any piercings.

Date: 2008-04-05 07:18 am (UTC)Keep a close eye on the scratches for infection. Bites are worse, but he certainly got you good. It takes a lot to show up in a photo like that.

Date: 2008-04-05 07:48 am (UTC)I flushed the scratches with warm saline, let it dry. Flushed it again, and then put a sterile dressing over it. Pharmacist said that was the best way to treat it, and he looked at it yesterday. He said the wound was red, but not the flesh around it (which is good). But I will be keeping eye on it.
