Listening to the Voices in My Head

But now she's gone.... until January. :)

akire-yta dropped by on her whirlwind 2 week tour of Perth aka her old stomping grounds. Brought yummy treat from "Bakers Delight", so I made Juice of Holy Bean, and it was good.

Loki likes her. He was mostly well behaved, with only one bout of jumping at the door. Aki got to see him do his "Jackie Chan Imitation" on the door.



Turns out Aki and I can talk 180 words a minute with gusts up to 220. :) Does good when catching up on over a year. Was good seeing her. Oh yeah, that is Doctor Aki now. :D Five months isn't that long. :)

Camera goodness arrived too. New proper camera and gear bag. No more worrying about damaging lenses, filters or camera, and it can tote the tripod too.

She is always welcome, more like family than just friend. After some gossip and chitchat, and watching silly Bertie the Cockatiel be a bit of a show off, she asks "Subway for lunch?" I grin like Cheshire cat.

She says "I'll go to the loo, first.."

Sometimes medication isn't the best thing for aches and depression. Good company can and will give relief to said problems. That and a wee bit of pampering and indulging.

delicious_irony came over yesterday afternoon (early because she didn't get lost, she saw _meegan_ car in driveway with our advertisement on the back) with a basket of goodies err nifty carry bag of goodies. Cheeses and stone fruits. Not just any plums and peaches, but organic, ever so juicy, balm for the soul, stone fruits.

Also brought some of the SwanCon Masquerade pics. :D generalissimo_k almost looks absolutely diabolical in one, but I could see he was grinning. delicious_irony's costume was great, and wow did she get that corset wound down tight tight. No wonder her abs were giving her grief the next day.

Mmmmm cheeses. Stilton, Roquefort, a 3 yr old aged Gouda, and a 2 cream Brie. aikidomayland finished cooking dinner, and we just all had a nice long visit, right until I started to wilt around 8:30.. ordered off to beddybyes, no arguments from me, and I slept through the night.

Woke up refreshed, rather than dragging self out of bed.
