You would think after all these years, either company would have fixed the damned problem of Wacom drivers not loading on boot up, and a quick easy way to load the drivers when you get the dreaded "TABLET DRIVER NOT FOUND" (yes, I have already done the Services/Local Services/Stopped and restarted Wacom drivers trick. It doesn't always work)

Spent about 2 hours puzzling out why the hell my touch screen stopped being a touch screen. Turns out that the "New and Improved" drivers for my Intuos 3 weren't the right ones. Mine isn't a touch tablet, but the 'antiquated' tablet that uses a stylus.

Uninstalled the Wacom software, rebooted, and all is well again. Beginning to wonder if that's what was causing the hardlock errors, as I was typically using it with a graphics program when it would happen. Wait and see, I guess.

Went to Tai Chi tonight. We aren't going to do the 6 month membership for a while, as Aikidomayland's business trips makes our attending every week iffy.

[livejournal.com profile] aikidomayland and I went out today shopping. I don't know if there was testosterone in the water supply overnight or what, but damn were people aggressive and nasty in their cars.

We were waiting to turn right, and the traffic was very heavy. Wing tried to do the 'ease into the traffic', but it wasn't going to happen. Some dopey wench behind us starts laying on her horn. Yeah right, lady, like we are going to pull out and get broadsided for you. She lays on it again. We make our turn, and she comes screeching out. I give said woman a hard stare as she rushes past. Then I notice something... she be driving this aggressively with 3 frigging small children in the car!

This wasn't an isolated incident either. Another person tried to go up our left side when we were trying to merge back into traffic on South Street (Yes, I know, only locals to me will know where I am referring to) from appliance store, blocking our view of oncoming traffic. How....smart.

People in a big assed hurry to reach the next red light 5 seconds before we do was also an ongoing theme for the day.

I thanked [livejournal.com profile] aikidomayland for being such a careful driver.
