I thought I would be feeling less uncomfortable as the days go by.

The day after the surgery, my right shoulder, my right clavicle area and around my right collar bone hurt. I didn't think much of it. Noticed a few bruises a few days after I was home, but no biggie. But today my right hip, along the same 'line' started to hurt like hell. Very well could have been sore from the outset but not bad enough to really take notice. I'm beginning to think that when I was transferred from surgery table to ward table, I landed on the railing.

It's not a good idea to wait until you start 'greying out' to get something to eat. Don't do it again. (I managed to grab counter edge and stay upright. Grabbed a very riped red plum and pretty much inhaled it. Vision came back to normal, then I had dinner. Not going to repeat that any time soon)

I have been prepping meals, and eating pretty much a diabetic diet for the past 4 days, as I am trying to get this insulin resistance under control.  It's not a difficult way but there are things to adjust to.

One thing I noticed, I tend to get hungry within a few hours after eating.  I probably will have to shift from 3 meals a day, to several small ones instead. The "can have" and "don't touch with a barge pole!" items in the house are ok.

Spawn and [livejournal.com profile] aikidomayland tend to forget, potato chips and chocolates (purchased before Dr visit)  are no nos for me, and keep offering.  I just look at them and give a slight whimper. Then they remember and profusely apologise for their forgetfullness.  *sigh*
