My Scythian bow, and
aikidomayland 's avarian are both ready for shipping. :D
Too whipped to post yesterday about a few things. PT really hammered me.
aikidomayland got back from the mine site earlier than expected, for which I was very grateful.
aikidomaylands' Vintage Bear Kodiak Magnum AMO52 56#@28" Bear Kodiak Magnum Recurve circa 1965 came in yesterday, and it is a beauty. Since he won't be putting sights and other doo-dads on it, I saw and took the opportunity to pun.
"You do realise, you are going to be a bare bow Bear Bow?" Ahh, the look of pain from a well delivered pun.

Swift Wing Bow
Feb. 20th, 2006 07:54 pmIt arrived, and completely disregarding sore back (that's another story) I removed it's shipping carton, and removed a few layers of bubblewrap.
What I saw was close to unbelievable. A mint, in perfect condition, no exaggeration, with string included, Swift Wing Bow. I had a picture of not only Charlemagne (yes, I name my bows. Rosamund, Patrice, and Charlemagne) but I took a close up of the Wing Archery Logo and the bow info. Was a bit tricky as it was silver lettering on cream colored limbs.
I drew it a few times, and it is as smooth as silk. I can't wait to try it at the range.
( Charlemagne and me )

Home home I'm deranged.....
Nov. 21st, 2005 07:54 pmA bit of indulgence
Nov. 8th, 2005 06:55 pmPillage day. Replaced my dead webcam with a new one. Have to find receipt for the old one, as I was told I can still get a refund for it. Works for me!
Went to Spotlight mostly for turban base fabric, and sewing supplies for the lastest order of skirts. As we were getting ready we spotted some lucious 100% silk, dyed is such beautiful colors, it begged to come home with us. I got shades of teal and blue, and
_meegan_ got shades of yellow/orange/brown.
Thursday night class is fully booked, both classes. Have to change website to reflect that.
My Wing Falcon, 36lb pull arrived yesterday. The plan is for me to slowly work up from my 33lb to consistantly getting good groupings with the 36lb, so I will be sort of ready for my 40lb when it gets here. Of course, I will have to adopt a different shooting style for the scythian, but I am quite sure I will manage.

What a day, so far
Nov. 7th, 2005 04:18 pmDancing was good, had very appreciative audience. Peter, the proprietor, has taken measures to stop people from doing something a bit sneaky. They get their food/drinks across the street, and then sit in the cafe for the entertainment. I fully agree with his measures.
Chest feels a bit tight, and I am fairly sure it's because of yanking out all that ryegrass yesterday.
_meegan_ says ryegrass is the worst things for allergies, and it's probably not too healthy for asthmatics.
My new Wing Falcon arrived. Going to get it a new arrow rest and maybe a new string (as I have the extra for my other bow that is the same length). Will have to make a new bowbag. No biggie that. Will take longer to cut out the fabric, than to sew it together.
