Up at O'Dark thirty again
Apr. 7th, 2007 03:30 am3am and awake. Between pain in hip/back area, my foot swelling up like a football (yes, that means I sprained my damned ankle again but didn't feel it) and a cat that still hasn't 'forgiven' me for disappearing for four days, is the recipe for a too early wake up.
Friday at SwanCon. Chatted up halspacejock (aka Simon Haynes), Sally, 3 Chris's, and lots others. Got Keito a new tribble. This one wobbles and chirps/purrs. He is most interested in it, but cautious, as his old tribble would only squeak if you squeezed it.
David Gerrold is a very funny man. I was a 'tribble shill'. I got one, and walked around the con with it. His table was swarmed, and he sold out of them pretty darned quick.
Elizabeth Moon is a hoot. Love listening to someone from my neck of the woods talk. Ok, she is from south Texas, whereas I am from eastern, but it's a helluva lot closer to home than Aussie accent. (yes, aikidomayland, you do have an accent, albeit a delightful one).
Briefly met Matthew Reilly. (No Matt, you didn't crush my hand, I was being a smart ass). Nice guy.
