I had a WTF moment yesterday

anysiaMeegan came by yesterday and we had a day in Fremantle and a nice lunch at Foo Gwai. Loved the double take the people at the restaurant gave me for being there in middle of the week. Promised to be there Sunday. :)
Went shopping for a new dress, as aikidomayland and my anniversary is coming up, and I had noticed a great many of my clothes were hanging oddly or just too loose.
My WTF moment happened when I went to one of my favorite shops. Due to ummm ample bust line I got the "L" dress from the rack (was planning on doing a bit of nip and tuck on the waist line if necessary) To say it was too tight is understatement. I found that odd as the last dress I got from there was a 'large' and it fit perfectly. So ok, grabbed the XL, with definite plans to do some altering. It was also too tight. Showed it on the hanger to the Meegan and the sales girl, and they both agreed: someone has been mucking about with the sizing templates because it was more like a size 8. WTF? Who the hell has been sizing the patterns!!??
So, gave up trying to find dress. Got a couple of new shirts as mine are getting decidedly ragged. Someone told me that Arc of Joan has new ownership again, and they make real sizes (IOWs clothes for women who have breasts and butts). I said "What do I have to lose." and went in. Looked around and spotted a dress, which looked 'meh' and shapeless on the hanger, but again 'what did I have to lose', so tried it on. It fit perfectly, and wasn't shapeless on me. Also, turns out it was a size smaller than the last dress I had gotten from the other shop.
Also, sold two photographs. :) Two prints of the same one, actually. Go me!
