You know what is annoying?

For days, I have been looking at something on ebay. I put in a 'max bid' and it has stayed there for days, unchanged. Then, less than 30 mins before end of auction, some newbie comes in and slaps a bid on it. It doesn't pass my max bid but equals it. So I up my max bid to make sure I don't get it sharked out from under me.

I sometimes wonder about shills.

That's just rude. I've lost auctions like that. I am told there are computer programs that will watch an auction for you, and bid in the closing seconds if your desired bid is higher than the highest bid there.
