Father in Law aka Pop Update

anysiaSaw him last night. He seems to be doing ok. Couldn't keep food down, but I kind of expected that. aikidomayland was snarky because the surgeon didn't produce a magic wand and make all the bad tumor go away. It was too close to spinal nerve root, encapsulating it, so only MOST of the tumor could be taken out. Pop knows that he will probably have to have another surgery in the future. Imagine chronic cancer, rather than acute.
Going to go see him again tonight. Don't want to flood him with too many visitors, as he has to recover and get well.
Raided my garden for harvest. Chopped the lemon grass back, topped the basil plants, and harvest close to 2 dozen cayenne peppers. I hope Kae_Dash really does like them, because they need an adoptive home. \
Loki dashed out when I was bringing the herbs and peppers in. I didn't go chasing him, as he ran into the back yard, where I had been taking him on a leash. I blithely walked out there, and sat on the steps. He 'hunted' me and went bouncing by. Let him explore a bit, then grabbed a grass stalk and teased him within my reach and brought him back indoors.At least he didn't dash out across the road like the first time he got out. Pretty soon he will be allowed to go roaming around the yard with Keito.
