anysiaLiveJournal/SixApart is at it again. First it was breast feeding, now it's .... ack!
A lunatic fringe, but LOUD group, calling themselves "Warriors for Innocence"* who are claiming that LJ is a haven for pedophiles, and are on a witch hunt to shut down any and all blogs that aren't as pure as their criteria demands. (Even though they are claiming on their site this isn't so, one journal is known for sure to have been targeted by WFI, and where there's smoke... yadda yadda.)

RPG and gaming blogs have been suspended or deleted, fannish blogs same thing, and personal blogs linking to any of these RPG/Gaming/Fannish blogs on the grounds they are encouraging illegal activities. A few have shifted their blogs to Greatest Journal, or other blogging service, but some are lost for good. Rape crisis, and incest survivor comms have been deleted.
Do pedophiles abuse LJ? Sure, no doubt, and those journals and communities should be deleted. But once again too broad a brush is being used. Role playing communities, fan groups, rape and incest survival communities are also being deleted. The word 'moderation'" isn't in LiveJournals "ABUSE" teams' lexicon.
*Do not use IE to view this site, as several people have said it's loaded with spyware. FireFox isn't affected.
