Frustration, thy name is Microsoft (programs)

Ok, need to print out some flyers/brochures. Have Microsoft Publisher 2.0 on the old desktop. Hey it works fine, so it's still there. On my computer, I have Office 2003, which includes Publisher. Can't open the v2.0 publisher files with 2003. I could if I had Office 97 version. I could sort of understand not opening document made from 2003 in v2.0, but the other way around?

(and before this starts an OS war, same happens with the Mac version)
