That is what aikidomayland said to me today after our archery session.
Did a bit of inventive altering of my Damascus glove. I get better control with my releases with the Damascus glove, but my fingers get extremely sore and bruised after 6 ends. However, using a fingertab protects my fingers preventing the pain and bruising, but I have less control with my releases so my shots are less consistent. So I traced the outline of my fingers on some scrap leather and cut them out and inserted them into the fingers of the gloves. Voila no more bruising pain. Made them a bit too narrow so will have to adjust it to prevent them from shifting inside the fingers of the glove.
Then I tried different shooting technique. Holding the bow down on my left side, nocking the arrow. Then focusing on the target swing bow up and draw back at the same time without taking focus off the target. Kept getting my shots in close groupings, to the point of scuffing the paint job on the new arrows. :)
Yeah, I am gonna be deadly this year at the Traditional Archery shoot in Geelong. And I will be able to do the entire course this year.
