anysiaI am very glad that Daggles and aikidomayland, with help for Alan, cleaned up and prepped the air conditioner a few weeks ago. *insert sigh of relief*
Went to archery range today. First time in almost a month. Gak!my fingers started hurting almost immediately, and it was as if I had no strength in my arms at all. This still coughing flu/cold might have something to do with that. I only shot 5 ends, albeit 5 good ends. Gonna be helping out with inter-club shoot next week.
Went to Foo Gwai, sacrificed a pork bun to akire-yta with much respect. Typing of respect, I find it funny (in a hypocritical way) how certain groups say Americans are rude. While at Foo Gwai, while being waited on by the server with the dim sum cart, the table of people directly behind her were obnoxious. It was crazy busy there, but we are patient. We had been there for at least 20 minutes when she got to our table, whereas the people behind her had just arrived. One of them started yanking on the back of her shirt to get her to wait on them first. Her reply was polite, but firm "Wait your turn" . They tried that stunt with just about ever staff member within eyeshot. And they got ruder about it with each instance.
Also the 'dumbing down of America' is most annoying. "Kath and Kim" great Australian comedy pair. Just about everyone I have spoken to or know in the US has no problem whatsoever with the humor, or the subject matter. So, what do the braintrusts in power at the networks in the US plan to do Air the show as is? Oh hell no! They are going to dumb it down, replace Kath and Kim with US actors using US subject matter. Oh for fuqs sake people! AbFab wasn't 'misunderstood', or did you forget that? It was just like when the 1st Harry Potter book was renamed as some idiotic marketing scheme. NO one, children or adults, in the US had any problem with the term "Philosophers' Stone'. It was an imaginary problem invented by marketers.
