Western Australian "Christmas Tree"

This is actually a type of mistletoe. These trees are actually parasite that start coming into bloom around December, hence their name "Christmas Tree". This tree is a parasite on the relatively thin roots of native tussuck grasses.

Yup, it's a parasitical growth, but you are right.. it is beautiful. Bright orange.
