Halfway around the world, no turkey

But I still managed to have a hefty, yet yummy, dinner.

Finding parking is always a hassle in Perth, but we managed. Had to cross a street, and this very nice young man gestured for us to hurry and cross before he turned out onto the road. There was no way I could impart to him that my pace was me hurrying and I wasn't going (couldn't) to run. Alan and aikidomayland just walked beside me so I didn't feel too awkward.

"Witch's Cauldron" is everything they advertise. We arrived and found out our table was upstairs. Uh oh. Going up them would be no hassle, but getting back down would pose problems for me. So, we asked politely (it's amazing how many people don't realise that good manners really do work.) if we could be downstairs. Wasn't a problem.

Their garlic prawns are yummy. We all shared out a serve of them and chili squid. aikidomayland picked a wonderful bottle of wine.

I got a chocolate mousse with sparklers and a happy birthday song. It's those little things that bright up one's mood.

It was just a wonderful family together night. Just happened to land on a double holiday for me. Thanksgiving and my B-day on same day. Happens every once in a while. :D

I took my parents and Nanna and Ken there one Mothers day and the food was beautiful , I didn't find out until later that the last time she had gone there was way back when we real youngsters and she had wanted to go back for awhile , weird how things work out like that :)
