Shrub vetoed using leftover IVF embryos for stem cell research because they are 'lives', but he is ok with them being defrosted and tossed down a drain.

Help me here... It's ok to flush them down a drain, but it's not ok to use them in research to find cures for diseases?

It's not ok to use IVF extras, because Bush has deemed them 'lives', but it's ok to bomb babies, or be allied to people that are bombing babies?

That fuqwad needs to get back on his mothership and go back to his dimension.

I wish I could 'splain. Obviously the workings of Chimpmeister are only understood by real 'mericans, not someone like myself who actually thinks with some semblance of logic.

2008 can't come around fast enough. Now, the Dems or Indies have to get a strong, capable candidate out there, or it will be a disaster.

No, no, no, see, once the babies are BORN they are sinful human beings like the rest of us, and can thus be bombed with impunity, letting God sort them out. In the womb, they haven't had a chance to sin yet with that first "goddamit, put me back IN!" curse right after birth. If they're only a clump of cells, see, then that's different. The longer they stay on earth, the more corrupt and less worthy they are, so they couldn't possibly be used for research purposes. Which is also why the moment after the union of egg and sperm is the most sacred moment of all, which is why birth control preventing implantation is the ultimate sin.

Or...something.

I think your problem is you're applying Earth Logic, here.

But but ...

Even the bible says we are all conceived with the stain of the original sin, so no-one, even at conception, is 'innocent'.

Oh damn, there I go using Bush's hoooooly writings against him. Maybe he should read it more often, and actually do right by it.

I saw part of the news report on that and thought "Bloody bush and his damn stupid religious reasons ".

Then they showed Micheal J Fox who has parkinsons disease and he was shaking from the disese but you could also tell he was shocked and angry about Bush's stupid descision and that's when I felt more angry and sorry for him and others that have to suffer cos Bush is such an arse .

I wonder if someone in his family or even himself had something like parkinsons or something else whether he would chnage his mind .

I'm not surprised about his choice but I am really annoyed and angry that he can't look beyond religion and see the great science benifits instead *sigh*
