Welcome to The Jungle
Jun. 29th, 2006 11:26 amMore like the tamed jungle. Need to sweep/rake up some more leaves, and trim back some overgrown grass that the overgrown trees were hiding. Looks good though.
The overgrowth had actually been covering the birdbath. Birds can safely use it now. Cats are miffed because they can't stalk from under the branches anymore.

The Triffid! aka the bougainvillea. It was given an extreme pruning. In 6 months it will be back to blossoming, but manageable.

Down the side of the house. The banksia trees were so overgrown, it looked more like a shaded arbor instead. No daylight, and branches resting in the gutters and on the roof.

Another view from the other side of the yard. That growth on the trellis is my honeysuckle. It started out as a cutting about 6 inches high. I pried a brick up and packed the area with potting mix, and planted it there.

Anyone want some lemons?
