Kind of had a laid back day.
Appliance repair guy came and fixed the oven, the element needed to be replaced but the thermostat was ok. $77 for the element, and $110 for 15 minutes of time to swap it with the old one. What is shit of charging for 1.5 hrs for 15 minutes work? I know labor costs are up there, but I think it has reached the ridiculous and beyond. Oh well, oven fixed, life is good there. It should last another 10 or more years.
Meegan, her son Liam and I meandered through Fremantle today. Spotted old old flyers that I had used way back when I was teaching out of the old belly dance studio, that had the contacts for the old studio instead of the new information, and I knew I had taken down last year back up in a shop (Meegan was there when I had taken them down, with the shopkeepers permission). Someone still must have copies of those old ones that I had created and printed out, and was using them for some purpose. Oh well, I took them down, and put up the new ones, and asked the nice lady to keep an eye on them for me. She nicely said yes.
Meandered some more.
Visited SPOTLIGHT (fabric/notions/curtains) and saw the fabric I will be using for the curtains in the sunken lounge. Need to cut out that glaring heat source for the summer, and to insulate it for the winter. Unfortunately, the sun doesn't come streaming through those windows during the winter.
Again meandered.
I got stopped on the mall, and was very politely asked about the tattoos. :) She even asked if I minded if she touched them (they looked raised because they are. Very heavily outlined and the re-inked one looks and feels like a miniature relief map. I gave her the history on them, and my reasons why cuz she asked. Very nice lady.
Guess what? Meandered yet again.
Stopped in at an opal store. Meegans' antique ring has a cracked opal in it, so she is going to have the stone replaced and she got another one to spare in case the other one also cracked.
Meandered back to the car and came home.
I was totally knackered . Popped in a dvd to watch and stretched out for a while. Next thing I knew it was 2 hrs later and the movie was over. I had slept through it. (sheepish grin) I guess there is rest for the wicked.
