It seems the LJ braintrusts are considering revamping LJ to make it more like MySPace. (insert gagging noise here. Oh Gods No!!)) to make it more appealing to teenagers.

No joke, that is a quote. Funny, most of the people I know on LJ are well past voting and drinking age.

It's bad enough that they changed their rules and made them retroactive. They got rid of the invite codes, which prevented spurious spamming blogs that were made just to peddle porn sites, then make it ad supported because of all the new traffic? (insert head scritching noise here) Then they refuse to listen to the bloggers, especially the paid and permanent blog owners. That's right guys, suck up to the freebie users with the ads that are probably being blocked by FireFox Adblocker, and shoot yourselves in the foot pissing off the ones that PAY YOUR F&CKING BILLS!

I look at it this way: As long as they don't fuck with the way my personal Lj works and looks, I don't care what they do to Livejournal. I mean, If you're inclined to look at other peoples' sites here, you're already going to find some that are eye-searingly nauseating... how can it get worse?

Yeah, I pay for my lj, and because of that I should be able to control what's going to be on it or not (like the ads). If they start forcing shit into my "personal" space, then I'm going to get pissed.
