All these snake oil salesman, selling miracle oils, lotions, ungents that purport to make scars and stretch marks go away.

Just have this to say: EMOLIENTS WILL NOT MAKE SCARRED SKIN VANISH! Whether they are old cut scars, burn scars, or stretch mark scars (yes, they are scars). Many of them will fade with time. And chances are no one really gives a crap if you have them.

And these frauds preying on insecurities, and the the people that keep forgetting "if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is."

SLANG, n.
The grunt of the human hog (Pignoramus intolerabilis) with an audible memory. The speech of one who utters with his tongue what he thinks with his ear, and feels the pride of a creator in accomplishing the feat of a parrot. A means (under Providence) of setting up as a wit without a capital of sense.

I've found something that actually works...

Ordinary adhesive bandage tape. Just slap a piece on and change it whenever you need to.

I have a scar on my heel that, for many years, was big and purple and raised and just ugly. A few years ago I switched from wearing sneakers to a construction type shoe (Like a caterpillar boot, without the top). They used to rub, so I would put tape over my heels to stop the blistering.

Something about the pressure of tape does something to scars I guess, because now, you can't even see the scar unless I point it out.

I don't know how well this works on burn scars or keloids, but for a cut-scar, it works great.
