anysiaDance class today... had another student sign up for the full term. Yay, <|<|<| and there was much rejoicing |>|>|> The air conditioner was on, so no incredible melting dancers today.
Julie was in a panic, saying she forgot everything over the holidays... funny thing about muscle memory, it will pick up where the brain leaves off. (grin) She choo choo'ed and 3/4 shimmied, arabicked. and egyptianed as if there had been no time off. We worked on the cues and transitions between these moves, then did 15 minutes Zil Drill, and then did the remainder of the time working on slow moves. Julie really likes the taxeem tribal moves, as they are more controlled, and precise, and that your transitions from one to another is almost like melting from one into the other.
Tomorrow, I am going to a meeting with the POWERS THAT BE for the up coming gig. No worry about this one, and should be a hoot.
