Passing of a Legend
Jul. 28th, 2003 10:07 pmI checked my email and noticed a FOX NETWORK breaking news alert: Bob Hope Dies at 100 yrs of age.
It is truly the passing of an era. This man was more than just an entertainer/comedian. He was a gifted student of the human psyche. He knew when to make people laugh with something ridiculous, and when to make people laugh at obvious mistakes and stupidity. Four wars this man lightened the hearts and spirits of our fighting forces. He didn't need props, or harsh language... all he needed was willing ears, and an open gap in the chattering crowd. Be at peace, Bob. We will miss you. The world has become a sadder place.
