Decision '06

After a long discussion with the surgeon, then discussing it with both
aikidomayland and Alan, we have decided the best course of action is surgical correction. I don't have a 'prolapsed' disc, but a displaced/slipped one, jutting out, putting pressure on the nerve. There is some calcification, which is why I am having the sharp radiating pain in my leg. The bright side of this is that since this is only the first problem I have had, it augers well for successful outcome. The disc is also too 'thin' between the vertebrae, and Dr N will be replacing the lost tissue with a plastic 'strut' to prevent any future back pain. Wish me lucks, peoples!

I'll be thinking of you!
Thanx dear
