Howards' statement as to why UR-468 should stay in gov't control

"I don't share the view -- apparently of the majority of my parliamentary colleagues, certainly in the Senate -- that you should hand authority for this (drug) over to the bureaucracy," Howard told Australian television Sunday.


Scuse me, Mr. Howard, I don't know if anyone has pointed this little fact out to you, but the government is a compilation of bureaucratic offices. But hey, this comment came from the same man that denies fertility treatment to "single women and lesbians because they are socially infertile". (Clue up,most lesbians ARE single women,so including the lesbian comment was rather unnecessary)

"socially infertile"?? WTF? that has all the sound of a 'dog-whistle', directing the rank-and-file to their next 10 minute hate, target lesbians.

Not content with comments on a level with "poisoning the well", you guys get to listen to these crack-pot characterisations, as well? Sheesh! Sympathies.

Not just targeting lesbians, but every and all single women. I find it ludicrious that he doesn't believe in assisting preganancies, but also doesn't believe in terminating them.

Talk about buttering both sides of ones' bread.
