Pun of the day yesterday..

While out shooting at the archery range. Two first timers were watching
aikidomayland and myself shoot, and noticed that we don't do the proper english/olympic stance when shooting, because we do barebow (
aikidomayland has the mongolian bow too). After the usual introductins of 'hello, names, pleezedtomeetcha', they asked about our different postures.
I told them its called "A hunters stance" and I was promptly asked if I hunted bush. I sadly shook my head and said no "Because that would be treason"
One of them started laughing, and the other asked "You aren't Canadian, are you?"

Date: 2006-01-30 10:45 am (UTC)how do you define the 'hunter's stance', just out of interest?
I didn't define it
Date: 2006-01-30 12:30 pm (UTC)More open stance, slightly bent at the hips, not the waist, slight tilt of head, and bow canted over.
Sedition, maybe?
