shadoutcarver used to get complaints from her local friends that she was always on line, and they got nothing but busy signals when they tried to call her. So, she got DSL. And guess what? Yup, no calls, other than this persistant person that seems to think her number is a fax, and kept calling over and over and over ad nauseum.
When she typed that in our irc chat with our other two friends, the imp whispered in my ear.
I picked up the phone, and dialed. She typed F*CK in the channel, and I just started laughing and couldn't stop. "I'm not a fax" was my hello to her. That and gales of laughter.
Had nice conversation with her afterwards too. :)
