*sigh* Another day of playing catch up
Sep. 2nd, 2005 12:14 pmIt's not so much the household chores I mind, it's how when I have the flu, I cringe to think of the dirty clothes, kitchen, floors. Don't get me wrong, I am not a Donna Reed, but when the supposed sentient males in the house don't bother with basic tidying, I want to clean one small space for me, and let them sit in swill. *sigh* But that would only mean even more assbusting chores for me afterwards.
It seems so trivial compared to what is going on in the world, but dusting and cleaning when one is doing ones best imitation of trying to cough a lung up, it's a big thing at the time.

Date: 2005-09-02 06:53 am (UTC)I wouldn't be so... relative about this. To me, whether the problem is big or small, it comes down to the same attitude - are people there responsible or not? Are they contributing, or not? I'm nowhere near the world's best housekeeper, and I hesitate to throw stones in my own glass house, but I have a lot of sympathy for you just withdrawing services from all but yourself.

Date: 2005-09-02 07:12 am (UTC)He cooked something last week. To say he knows nothing about kitchen chemistry and what ingredients NOT to mix together is an understatement. To put it as delicately as possible, the ensuing smell was like barf. Almost triggered gag reflex in me. So, I took over the cooking to save my own innards.
I will give MMT(son. Mini Man Thing)credit. He did do his own laundry, and prepped some of his own meals. Guess
