This weekend has been a flurry of activity, and here I am up at OMIGOD Hundred hours updating my journal.
Yesterdays dance session was frigging marvelous. There comes a time for the students when things "click"... Meegan and I got to see that happen with J yesterday, and with B too! K is coming along just fine. She is working on the 'muscle memory' of the moves, not the speed of them. I told her (J and B repeated it too, saying it was true) that once the body knew the moves, speed comes later.
Went to pay for the room, and on the way out the lady at the reception desk said someone popped in about the class, but didn't go in because we looked "highy focused". I am 99.999% sure who it was, as she said she would leave a note on the windshield because she knew my car. (Well, not MY car. Meegans... we car pool hehehe) Going to have to call her today, OR convince hubby that we should go to the GhengisCon meeting. But then, Ken did say he would pass my regards along.
Typing of Ken, after dance class, we dashed off to WAPagans discussion group. It was a lovely schmooze. The meeting started at 2pm, but dance class doesn't get over until 2:30... but we were forgiven for being late (chuckle) and were told we didn't need a late note for next time.
Came home, threw on a pair of work gloves and started hauling out trimmed and pruned branches to the front yard, near the road. It's "green waste" pickup, and I didn't want to be stuck with a pile of ficus branches for an extra 6 months again. Love Wing dearly, but he is notorious for procrastination when it comes to yard work, or repairs. Luckily for him, he has me. :)
Today, I am going to be working in the house, trying to get as much of my *Monday* cleaning done today. Tomorrow is the start of the other ATS class, so I want to have as much done today, so I have time to kick back and relax for a bit after class.
Also, want to give Wing lessons on how to handle digital camera. He does (waggles hand) ok, but needs to pay attention to viewfinder, and the flash indicator. (yes dear, if it's green, THEN you take the picture, or you get dark blurry shots) :) Or I could just stock up on 35mm for him. :)
