A funny coincidence
Sep. 22nd, 2003 05:39 pmI am an archery fan/buff... A few years ago husband and I went out shooting with rental gear, then decided after a while we would get our own equpiment.
After looking through several racks, I spotted this beautiful recurve. It wasn't pretty, as it looked as if it had been shoved in the back, neglected and unnoticed. There was some wear spots on the finish, but other than that, it was fine.
I strung it, and drew a few practice shots. It was a sweet bow.
The funny thing is this: I looked at the name/brand of the recurve, and that clinched it. This bendy stick was mine.
Bought it, had it professionally refinished. The bowyer said it was at least 20 yrs old, because they weren't made anymore.
The Moral of this story:
My bow is a Wing
My beau is Wing.
And they are both mine. ;)

Archery and Addiction
Date: 2003-10-01 11:43 pm (UTC)I had to take a break from it due to skewering the palm knuckle of my left index finger. We did some shooting a little while ago.. it just tingled and I could keep my grip. We will probably be a danger to multi colored concentric circles on a regular basis again.
