Feb. 14th, 2005 04:22 pmBetween a few dance sets,
_meegan_ and I wandered between the tables and chatted up some very interested customers. I had one nice old gent come up behind me and say "Nice tatts."... of course I said thank you, where upon he asked "Did it hurt to get them?" I inwardly sigh, but outwardly smile and say the schpiel "have you ever had a deep tissue massage?" "yes." "Well that hurts worse than getting a tattoo." Then I went into that for me, the allergic to pain person, they were more irritating than painful. More of a discomfort.
Another lady, with some beautiful skin art of her own took one of our pamphlets/business cards. I told her that tattoos are not a requirement for ATS dancers, but it is quite common to see tattoos on ATS dancers (and no, I am not referring to a silly embroidery pattern made into a tattoo.)
All in all, it was a good session, other than the heat. And humidity. Almost felt like we had to chew the air. Our costumes kind of reflected the holiday. I wore my newly made deep red skirt, white choli and pantaloons,
_meegan_ wore her pink choli, with shimmery green and pink pantaloons, and her black tiered skirt with pale yellow and white flowers. Hey, it was Valentines day, afterall. :) And we received lots of compliments about the color arrangement.
Off to rest a bit before tonights class. As it's the last class of the term, our students have asked us if we would do a short performance at the tail end of the class. We said okidokey. :)
