I have been a bad girl

Some person keeps calling the house every weekday during business hours.  Same person, same script, same responses/replies from me.

Caller:  Hello, may I speak with Mr. Hing Chung

Now, I don't bother to correct the guy about Hing not being his first name, but a generational name.

Me: No, he is at the office.  Would you like to leave a message?

Caller: No, I will try back again.

Me:  If you call during business hours, you won't reach him at this number. Would you like his work number?

Caller: Yes, thank you.

Give him the number, say goodbye.

Sounds ok, yes?  But try saying the same thing the same guy a dozen or more times.

Caller: Can I speak to Mr Hing Chung

Me: I have told you time and again, calling his HOME number during business hours will not reach him.  Here is his business number.

Caller: Thank you.

Say goodbyes again.  FYI, I have spoken to Wing, and this guy NEVER CALLS HIM!

FInally,the straw arrived.

Caller: Can I speak to Mr Hi...

Me:NO!!!!  and I slam the phone down.

Hopefully that will have gotten through his thick skull.

Tried that at the mid point, didn't sink in. Maybe the slammed phone in the ear made my point. One can hope.

damn. well, here, if they continue to call you can sue them for the harassment. Dunno what you have over there for protection.
