A few months ago, I posted something about how the
Catholic Church strongly disapproves of in vitro conceived babies, that they aren't as good as or right as bumping uglies to make babies. And a woman who used fertility treatments got fired from her job for going to a fertility clinic.
Now I run across an article that says this:
Cardinal Alfonso Lopez Trujillo, head of the Pontifical Council for the Family, criticised several Western countries for allowing abortion and introducing gay marriage and civil unions.
In his interview, Lopez Trujillo, a 70-year-old Colombian, said scientists who experimented on embryonic stem cells should be viewed in the same light as abortionists and be barred by the Church from taking Communion.
"Destroying an embryo equals abortion and that excommunication goes for the woman, the doctors and the scientists who eliminate the embryo," he said.So which is it? In Vitro embryos/babies are 'real' babies after all when it fits your 'let's make women walking incubators only again' agenda?
