The operation was a success and the patient lived

One of our cats (Affy) refuses to drink standing water (ie in a bowl). He has been that way since we adopted him from Cat Haven.  So, I got the lunkhead a water feature. It's a nice one, about 9" square, a 'bamboo' crosspipe pouring into a stone bowl, with a few riverstones for splash and decoration.  Well, the pump on it died, not surprising after almost 5yrs of non stop use (and the fact if I wasn't home when the water level was too low, it didn't get refilled).  Found a replacement pump at Bunnings, and did some delicate procedures, and the patient lives! And the cat drinks.  I think I saw Keito lurking there too.

Interesting news on the homefront (well, interesting to ME) is that CBGB's won its' case!

It's a day for the pets, I guess

The 'keets..when they want to be uncovered and let out they actually say "ready?" 
I started saying "Ready?" when I got Eileen.  She was so easily spooked if I uncovered the cage without warning, she would bash herself about the cage in a panic. She doesn't do that anymore, but I got into habit of saying it, so now, they say it when they want out. They got me well trained

'Nuther booking for August

Wow, this has been the busiest month to date.  Booked and confirmed gigs for the 21^st,  the 26^th, and the 27^th. That's not adding in our regular Monday gigs. 

Rehersal went very well

Had a few MIAs due to the flu, but it went well. Two students that really needed a wee bit of fine tuning in technique were there, and so we worked that.

Came home, ravenously hungry. Had a little something to nosh on, and waiting to see if the beast in the belly stops growling. Give it another20 mins and if it still grumbles and complains, a nice pear to nibble on to 'top the tank'.
