My lazy decadent ass
Aug. 11th, 2005 10:36 amNot really. I slept until 9am this morning. My 'weekend' is in the middle of the week, and I took advantage of it. I guess the past few weeks of low sleep rations caught up with me.
I should get more 'domestic' chores (boring) taken care of, but I am just so lethargic, and this feeling of ennui... Just want to prop self up on pillows, grab a warm blanket, and have the wand of power (aka remote control) in arms reach.
Read an intestesting post about 'dance politics'. I would reply to it but I have feeling my reply would mysteriously vanish. I have seen such hypocricy that it makes me grind my teeth. Recent email I mentioned is just one of the examples. The historical revisionism is another. Taking things from others, and then claiming them as your own.
That is why we have turned down (three so far) offers to be part of a bellydance studio/shops cirriculum. You get stuck in a crappy time slot they can't hire out anyhow. We have 5 classes we teach a week. Different levels. I don't see any studio giving us that much floor time of our choosing, so we will stick with hiring dance rooms at Rec Centers. Also, it gives us the opportunity to cull out the 'bellybunnies'. (insert soft growl here)
Ah enough on that rant. Going to have another cup of gourmet coffee, and relax.
