with [livejournal.com profile] aikidomayland 's arm being out of commission, there wasn't much to do. Him having an american wife came in handy for the short trips we did have to make. Why, you ask?  Because he was able to keep his uninjured left arm/hand on the steering wheel, and I shifted gears with my right for him.

Got another dsl line filter to see if its a problem with the phone or the filter. Turns out we manage to have one of the few phones that have problems with DSL lines, and will disconnect when it's picked up, and then hung up (DSL will reconnect in the middle of the call if it's a long enough call). Will return the new filter for refund. *glowers at phone*

Wanted to take telescope out last night but ya know, caring for someone who is injured is tiring.

Have to get ready for performance today..Oh YEAH! Talk about associative memories: One of the gentlemen that attend the same dojo [livejournal.com profile] aikidomayland does saw us dancing at Tropicana! Bob said he was just walking by, and slowed down, and then stopped to watch. He said he was mesmerised, and was amazed at the control and precision, and flow of our dance. I explained to him the origins of ATS and funny thing, he wasn't confused as to it being "authentic" so, I guess either I am explaining it right or peoples fear of the general population being too dumb to understand it isn't 'authentic' is over stated.

*sigh* It's gonna be a day for me. Really not in the mood for plastering a smile on and dancing, but I have responsiblilty and obligation.

Rushed to get the telescope/laptop/camera set up before the incoming bad weather. Managed to do that quick fast and in good time. Located Jupiter (man, I wish I could get pictures of what it looks like through an eyepiece, but hey not yet) and set camera up to shoot some decent vid at 60 frames per second. That went well and good (all 4 gigs of it). Lightning starts, I hustle everything indoors in record time.

Start up Registax and it pukes when working with the AVI and ends up scragging it. I don't think I have ever invented such a colorful stream of words before.

Now I will have to wait for about a week for decent viewing night again.
