Sum up of yesterday

aikidomayland  went to the SunCoast Archery range and did a few rounds with both of his bows.  When he got back, we headed out to Harbortown to get a few items.  I got a couple more pairs of jeans (2 pair for $30.. even when I shrink it won't matter.  I can either take em in on the sides, or ditch em. Not going to worry about $15 pair of jeans) 

Hit up Lorna Janes again for a new pair of dance leggings/tights.  With all our classes, need at least one pair per, and some of mine are getting a bit worn out and need replacing.

Also got _meegan_  her birthday or 'Christmas' present.

Came home, and then practiced more with telescope.  I am getting better at getting things in frame. Just need to get my filters for sharper imaging. (insert nerdy drool face here)

Oh well, we all need a hobby.  ;)

The difference between forgiving and forgetting

Someone asked me if I would ever forgive a certain group of people for what they did, and tried to do to me.  Someone was shocked when I replied "I forgave them a long time ago.. I just haven't forgotten what they did, and will never allow or trust them to be in such a position to do the same thing again."

There is a world of difference between forgiving and forgetting.  I forgive my mother for being abusive, neglecting etc etc.  But I have had nothing to say to her for almost 7 years now.  I did try to reconcile a few times, but she went right back into her controlling and bullying.  Sorry, been there, done that, had huge counciling bills to prove it.  There is the point where banging head against the wall because it will feel good when you stop is just self delusion.

So yes, I forgive them, but I will not forget.

Have you ever been told you inspire someone?

Not by a friend that follows you to where they know you will be, but by a stranger. I was told that twice today. By two different people.

One was an older woman, who was thrilled that I was out there dancing.  As she said "There was a time, not too long ago, you would have been told to just cover up. Your face was so enraptured and happy, it made me feel good." (in regards to me not being "the perfect size 10")

And another told me that I inspire her as I do get out there.  I don't let other peoples snarky commentary and media driven ideals of what is 'pretty' faze me in the slightest.  And that I am a cracking good dancer too. :D

Today at the Tropicana

Other than being told I am an inspiration,  I got to sing a duet with Andy!  He was tuning his guitar while we were packing up our stereo and other items, and I would say "Up a bit.. little more. Ah, right there.  Ooo that string is in the key of J Sharp..oh thats better."  without looking at his tuning device.  My voice might not always cooperate, but I do have pretty good pitch.

So, Andy started playing of his songs "Capital 'I'", and I sang right along beside him.  It was a lot of fun, and afterwards, Peter teased me a bit about it. 

Headed out and got our overlocker lesson, and then came home and called electrician to put in our new stove top. Yay.
