Hard work and inspiration
Sep. 8th, 2004 09:53 pmLast nights class in Armadale was fantastic. Brought the "Acerbeast" with me, and had the students watch the dvd of the first Hafla (party) we held for our students. They were told that out of the students in full dance gear, 2 had never done tribal dance, and one had a different style of dance experience, and after three months, this is what they looked like. They were gobsmacked when I told them this was after 12 weeks. We did stick with the basics and a few of the 'simpler' advanced moves but it looked really great. (I am still proud of the effort the students put out. They were marvelous)
Viewing what it could look like in 12 weeks seems to have lit a fire in all of them last night. After tweaking and fine tuning some dance moves, we then ran through them. I think the best compliment we got as teacher last night was "tonight, we really felt as if we were bellydancing!". Not a bad 'tude after 4 weeks.
