Oh, we had a great time there last night. Wing was a bit bowled over when he was introduced as one of the past treasurers, and when one of the people at the sign in table looked at his old Student ID#, said "I'm the treasurer now. Wow, you were treasurer before I was even born!" He definitely felt age creeping up on him. I got to see a picture of him, that he didn' t know/remember someone took of him in his wild wooly College days (they say University Days here, but I am not Australian, and will use 'Murrican lingo) Not too much is different. He is a bit less scrawny, has less hair, but pretty much looks the same. Turns out he was writer and illustrator of the UniSFA publication for quite some time. I got to see many of his articles and drawings. He was shocked and embarassed that they are in the National Archives. I guess some people save everything. (chuckle)

He got to meet fellow article writers, and UniSFA presidents from years gone by. Met up with a friend he hadn't seen in years, and they did the 'let's trade business cards'. Maybe this time, they will keep in contact. It was a very nostalgic evening for him. When he looked around at the latest batch of students, he said they all looked like they were kids. Well DUH! (lol)

The photo op for all the presidents past and current that attended was funny. They started walking towards the long table, and I started whistling quite clearly and loudly "HAIL TO THE CHIEF". Only about 5 people in the entire crowd knew what the song was and got a chuckle. Of course that started a mirth quake when it was explained.

It was a nice gathering of real people. No agendas, no subterfuge. Just fun. Gawd, I didn't realise just how much I have missed that sort of socialising.
