anysia"Kolchack: The Night Stalker". The original series, not the more modern rehash.
Much (if not all) of the tech is outdated, but the story lines and acting still hold their own. Darren McGavin was great as the enthusiastic, if a bit clumsy, investigative journalist. And Simon Oakland was fabulous, if a bit predictable, as his crotchety boss.
