It's bad enough that we've been paying for grandfathered plans when we would have been entitled to higher capacity at the same cost or lower cost for the same/similar capacity.

Then you do upgrade us, but change the On Peak/Off Peak hours to 1am to 9am from 2am to 12.pm Ok, we got adjusted to that by keeping downloads from 7am to 9am, and then regular websurfing after that.

Then we find out yet again, we are paying for a grandfathered plan, so we update. Only to find out that the off peak hours have been lopped back even more! Now, they are 2am to 8am. Because of this disparity, we have already used almost half of the allotted bandwidth (WoW updates for two computers, Alan setting up a friends new computer, and streaming video) that most would have been done on off peak hours. So, 50% of all our allotted traffic is during the 6 hours everyone is frigging sleeping!

This change of 'peak' hours depending on your broadband plan makes no sense at all! Or if you are going to change the hours, then you should be doing this.

Total traffic 200 gigs. 6 hrs off peak? Fine, then only 50 gigs of that should be off peak, and 150 peak traffic. This crap of putting half of all monthly traffic on 1/4 of the time is a f**king rip off.

/end rant

You use to pay $X for YGB of which half was usable between the hours of 2am and 12pm.

iiNet brought out new plans, one of which was $A for 200GB of which half was useable between the hours of 2am and 8am.

iiNet made a conscious choice to _not_ move people to the new plan if they would be negatively impacted (different costs / different peak hours / uploads counted when they weren't before / etc).

What throws me, is you are upset on one hand that iiNet didn't move you automatically, but also upset that when you decided to move to a different plan (presumably it was cheaper / gave you more quota or you wouldn't have moved) it had different peak hours.

Given the previous cost, quota & hours, are you worse off under the new plan?

I know you're upset, but don't understand where iiNet has let you down in this.

Do you feel that the changes in peak / off peak times weren't made obvious? Do you feel iiNet has deceived you with the new plans?

What does iiNet need to do to make it right?

prk.
