Mega thanks to Roya-Spirit for giving me permission to use one of the fabulous photographs she took at the Billy Bob Thorton/Wilie Nelson concert as a reference to make a digital painting.
Yes, for sure, that. Believe me, he's weathered and worn, don't hold back...(but still as great as ever.) ... and I got to see him literally at arm's length! close enough to even see the wrinkles in his arm skin.
Give him more around the eyes for laugh lines, and a bit on the cheeks for that really weathered look. My flash did reduce a bit of it as did the stage lights.
I will email them to you, and if you look at them side by side, it shows. I made the (gawd I feel mean saying this) bags under his eye deeper and puffier. I added veiny wrinkle lines on the cheek from ear to nose, also boosted the 'wattling' on the neck, and wrinkles around the mouth and corner of the eye.
I will add more, though if it starts looking like it's 'cartooning' I wind it back a bit.
