Rendell: ‘The Big Lie Strategy’

Gov. Edward G. Rendell of Pennsylvania just accused the campaign of Senator John McCain and Gov. Sarah Palin of flat-out “lying” about Senator Barack Obama’s plan on taxes.

The "Big Lie Strategy" is well known. Say a lie often enough, with enough media coverage and sooner or later people believe it, because you just know it has to be true if you are hearing it so much. Examples: WMDs in Iraq, Mobile Bio Labs, Iraq is a threat to the US! . (And the what is worrisome is the latest "Iran is a threat to the US!")

Isn't it wonderful that McCain is willing to continue to "protect" America and the free world just as George W. Bush has been doing since 9/11?

I can't understand why McCain supporters insist he is nothing like Bush, when he publicly stated he voted along with Bush on over 90% of the time, has the same war mentality, pretty much is a noddy dog whenever Bush says anything, and even flip flopped on the definition of torture to support Bush re-writing the definitions so prisoners..oops! ENEMY COMBATANTS could be tortured undergo enhanced interrogation.

I could redefine my cat as a dog, but that isn't going to make him go WOOF.

Why do you believe that Iran isn't a threat to the US, given its atomic research and public pronouncements?
