A spider sits in the middle of its web. Taken at night. Spider is about 1 cm in length. Had to reach up with the camera to get the photograh



Common Orb spider in Western Australia. Not sure what exact species.

According to the Spider reference I have it is most likely Eriophora transmarina- or the Garden Wheel Weaving spider. We always just called them Garden Orb Weavers.

This one appears to be a young female. Great photo. Normally the web moves around too much for me to get them completely in focus.
